How do I change the front lamp above the turning indecator on the headlight assembly? Does the front lense come off or is it accesable from the back?
Roger -
Hi, Happy Easter to you! Please tell me what series Frontier you have? Desert Runner? Pick up ?
What is the purpose of the light you want to fix? Park lamp? Side marker? Running light?
Thanks,
Roger

4x4 pickup. Its a small light right above the turn light. It has its own switch to turn it on. I bought the truck used and didn't come with an owners manual.
I'm ordering a manual Monday and then I'll know what Nissan calls the lamp

I believe you will need to remove the composite headlight assembly to replace either the bulb in question or the turn signal bulb. It is posible to replace the headlamp bulb with out removing the assembly.
Are you seeing the attaching bolts for the headlamp composite assembly? Please take care not to turn bolts/screws that are for aiming the headlight beam.

OK Roger,
I was kind of thinking that was the case, but I wasn,t sure.
Hay this service is pretty cool. A parts guy told me about it at a parts store and it was good hearing from you. Thanks a lot and have a nice Easter.
Good bye for now
Jack.

Do you want to leave the question open until you succeed? If not necessary then just click in OK to finish up.
the "service engine now" light will not go out.was told the cat converter might be the fault.since the truck will never leave mexico,am thinking of removing the cat converter.will this be harmful to the engine? In this part of the world,a new converter is not an option.

Hi;
The cat converter not working will not turn the check engine light on. Sounds like you have a another problem. Removing the cat converter will not hurt the engine but also will not shut the light off. The check engine light will only come on when there is an electronic or sensor problem. Need to see what codes are stored. Any more help. Please don't hesitate. Thanks Les
cruise control will not stay on.Indicating light comes on when swith is turned on.I get an audible "click" when I set the speed but truck slows when I release the accellerator.Fuses are all good and all connections that I can see seem ok.

The 192/195 unless your ambient temperatures frequently get above 100 degrees. Then I would use the 180.
Minor damage to the condensor fins will not be cause for concern here.
Other possible solutions would be a professional cooling system flush using and machine with high pressure to flush the engine block but not the radiator. Finally, a new water pump could be considered but I doubt it is needed until the coolant free flow (circulation) can be assurred unimpaired.
A 50/50 (water/coolant) ratio is needed in the cooling system. Too much coolant doesn't cool as well as 50/50 and too much water allows corrossion.

I'm sorry, I'm trying to correct the message I've sent regarding your cruise control. I've sent it before but don't see it post to your question. I don't quite understand why that irrelevant message got posted, let me try again.
Have you checked for a vacuum leak while the engine runs? Any split or loose connections will be a problem. Are any of the vacuum hoses collapsed?
There are switches that disconnect the cruise by dumping the vacuum when you step on the brake (or clutch if standard transmission). The switches are actuated by the pedal arm of the brake and/or clutch. One or more of these switches could be out of adjustment or defective. Sometimes lifting the pedal with your shoe while driving will permit cruise engagement if the switches on that pedal are out of adjustment. The switch "button" should be fully pressed in by the pedal arm when the respective pedal is not in use.
Any help? Please advise,
Roger

vacuum hoses seem fine. There are two switches on the brake arm.Is it the one closest to the drivers door? The cable that parallels the accellerator cable seems to have a lot of slack in it.Have you ever heard of a speed sensor failing? The truck sat for a year without moving and wonder if the sensor could lose it's residual magnetism.
Roger -
One of the switches will have a vacuum hose connected to it as well as an electrical connection. That's the cruise dump/cut-off switch. The other one is the brake light switch. Both must be adjusted properly. The buttons that the pedal arm actuates on the switches must be fully pressed "in" when the pedal is not in use.
The cable with slack will be the cruise throttle control cable. The slack ensures the throttle will fully close without interferrence from the cruise servo.
If the speed sensor has failed your speedometer will not work. If it works your speed sensor is not the problem.
