i changed brake rotors and brake pads about a year ago-but now the front brake pad keeps popping off when i am driving-the brake pad is about half way worn down. why does the brake pad keep popping off??thank you, susan

If the brake pad is actually popping off there is something broken on the pad or the bracket the pads rest against.
I have a 1987 NISSAN Pulsar NX that sat for 5 years before I bought it. I have the engine running fine but I cannot determine how to get to the brakes to inspect them. The right rear brake makes noise. How do I get into the front a rear brakes to clean and inspect pads etc. This is my first Nissan. Thanks, Mark

Hello
For removal of rear drum you are going to have to remove the grease cap, the cotter pin and the wheel bearing nut. Make sure you release the parking brake and be carefull with the bearings.
Front disc brakes you will want to remove some of the brake fluid from the resiovor using a syringe, use a C clamp to push the caliper piston in than losson the top caliper bolt and completly remove the bottom one and swing the caliper up and hold it up (a wire works good)

Thank you for your reply. It will be a couple of months before I return home and get to work on this car. Nice to have a project to think about. This is a handy service and I'm sure with this car there will be a few more things to ask for help with.
