1990 Nissan Pulsar Engine   

Engine has run increasingly erratic since getting hot. 3/4 on temp gauge. have checked distributer and ok. need resistance values for sensors on engine. ECM was on now flashes occasionally ( 1 long flash and 2 short)

Thermo fan cuts in and out irratically also even when engine is cool

Have you done self diagnostics to see what trouble codes have set?

The ECM light on the dash board flashes 1 slow and 2 fast indicating code 12 which is MAF.
This engine has a MAP mounted on the firewall connected to the inlet manifold via a vacuum hose and does not have a MAF sensor. Alex

Every single reference I have found indicates code 12 is for MAF/Airflow meter.
