1995 Cutlass has a brake fluid leak at the anti lock device in front of the master cylinder. What do I check for?
Douglas -
Clean the area off and thoroughly inspect the brake lines for leaks. This is easiest to do by a having a helper press on the brakes.

The leak would be at one or more of the connecting lines rather than the anti lock device itself? Is this correct?
Douglas -
Hopefully and usually, but you'll have to check to be certain.
Have your assistant press lightly on the brake pedal while you watch for leaks, you don't want to be sprayed with fluid. It would be best to wear eye protection if you are not experienced with this kind of work.

The turn signals blink very slowly when Iwant to turn but when I push the hazard button, the flashers work fine.If it's the circuit breaker, where is it? Thanks in advance!
Roger -
Hi, There is a flasher for the turn signals and another for the 4 way flashers.
Look under the dash near the steering column for the turn signal flasher. It is about 1" in diameter and has one connector with two wires in it. Often it is clipped to a bracket so the sound of the clicking will be louder.

I checked under the dash by the steering wheel, just about everywhere under there. I couldn't find anything resembling a turn signal switch, I hit the flashers and the blink--blink noise came from what looks like the computer module (a stainless steel box the size of a pocket Bible). What do you think?

Try disconnecting the device you found and see if the signals stop working.
I haven't found a picture but if you copy and paste the following link in your browser address bar it tries to describe where to look.
Does someone has a diagram of how the wires inside the coil pack are connected? I have a 87 Olds Cutlass Cierra with a 3.8 Engine and it has coil pack that has all 6 connectors on it. The coil pack and the piece that under it were replaced, but the car wont start because they are not properly connected. I have a book that tells me were the wires need to be connected to but I figure that the cables inside are the ones connected wrong. Please help

Hello, Are you wanting to know where each spark plug wire connects to the coil pack and to which post?
The coil pack sits on top of the ignition module. There are no wires inside the coil pack that can be configured.

Hi,
On the 87 Cutlass Ciera 3.8 there are two styles of coil packs. On the one that I have the coil pack is one and has all the connections at the top for the spark plug wires. The second option for this year car and engine is also a 3.8 and it has 3 coil packs and each has two spark plug wire connectors. In the second option of coil packs if one fails only one needs to be replaced. On the one I have unfortunatelly the coil pack is one unit. The coil pack is held together with 6 hex bolts that hold the top piece to the bottom piece. After removing the 6 bolts in between the top piece and the bottom piece there are 6 wire connectors that is were my problem is at I need to find out were each of the wire terminals go. I have a Chiltons that shows the two coil packs but it doesn't show the way the wires need to be connected in my car. Can you help? Thank you.

Thank you! Now I remember what you are referring to. The little wires that plug in to spade terminals that are bent flat so they won't interfere with the mounting of the coil. It's a Magnavox coil pack.
I'm going by a GM Cadillac, Buick dealership that was an Olds dealer too tomorrow. They will help us.

Thanks. I'll wait.

Okay, I'm believing that you know all of the Blue wires connect to one side of the coil pack. Usually since they are stiff wires they tend to just lay down and point to the terminals they go to by just lining up the terminals.
The Yellow wire goes to the coil for cylinders 1 & 4.
The Green/Black wire goes to the coil for cylinders 5 & 2.
The Blue/Black wire goes to the coil for cylinders 3 & 6.
When holding the coil pack upside down with the coil for cylinders 1 & 4 at the top, I recommend all Blue wires on the left side terminals and the remaining wires as previously described on the right side terminals.
Will it start now with this configuration??

Thanks, I'll try it today.

All right, I hope this does it for you. If not, let me know.
