Battery doesn't hold charge, ahmeter on "+" side and voltage reading indicator bounces rapidly. Tried new battery and the alternator tested good at Napa..any suggestions? Fuel injected 2.2 liter.

Start by checking the battery cables and engine grounds. Inspect the connections to the alternator. Let me know what you find.

Sorry if double posted. I replaced the neg.battery cable and my problem persists, only ahmeter now stays in the middle range and indicator still bounces. I have dome,panel and key buzzer untill I turn the ignition to start then everything goes out and stays out. Could the pos. cable need replacing too?

Possibly, you may wish to start pulling fuses to see if you can isolate something that stops the problem from occurring. Don't overlook the alternator wires, follow the harness as best you can.
